The 1st African Congress on Natural Risks and Disaster Management (AFRICA NRDM’2025)
will be held from the 20th to 24th January 2025, in Rabat city through the collaboration of Academic Platform, The African Organization for Studies and Research on Risks, the Mohammed V University of Rabat with the support of Risk Management Directorate (Ministry of Interior). The main purpose of this congress is to find answers to the question of what can be done to minimize the natural disasters impacts and enhance the resilience of fragile areas by focusing on the immediate preparedness (early warning) and response phases of the disaster cycle. It will also very briefly address how disaster management can concretely advance climate change adaptation and what parts of the Moroccan experience can be applied elsewhere in the rest of Africa.
